Inspired by the coiled power and grace of a cheetah about to pounce, the KODO design language brings the beauty and vitality of economical, agile movement to vehicle styling. Mazda CX-5′s front end features ‘signature wings’ – a line signifying wings in flight runs across the bottom of the grille before extending outwards to the headlamps whose styling and positioning were inspired by the intense stare of a cheetah focused on its prey. The side view gives a powerful sense of a forward motion, with sculpted body sides expressing the tension and release at the heart of the KODO design language.
